“Gifts” –‘Mothers Reflect on How Children with Down Syndrome Enrich Their Lives’, edited by Kathryn Lynard Soper and published by Woodbine House. This book contains 63 accounts from mothers reflecting on their birth experience and early years with their child. I enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it. “Teaching Children with Down Syndrome about Their Bodies, Boundaries, and Sexuality”, ‘ A Guide for Parents and Professionals’ by Terri Couwenhoven, M.S.  The author is a parent of a child with DS and certified sexual educator. The book addresses issues of privacy, puberty, body awareness, dating, relationships, family values, and abuse prevention. The book offers tips and suggestions for parents to approach the subject of sexuality with their children.
