  Camp Invention 
    Summer day camp held in Chattanooga at CSLA June 2-6 (CSLA is a K-8 public school in Hamilton County located on East Brainerd Rd. -- between I-75 and Brainerd Rd.)

    Roberta Echols, the special ed teacher who is in charge of the camp at CSLA, is requesting that a child be referred through his or her teacher in order to assess the appropriateness of participating in the camp.

Creative Discovery Museum's Club Discovery 
    "Club Discovery is a free after-school program designed to engage children (both with and without special needs) in learning through creative exploration, through the guidance of Museum experts . . . designed to promote independence and socialization."

Dream League 
    Softball league for physically and mentally disabled children and adults ages 4 and up. Teams divided by age groups. A Spring activity that starts about the end of March. All games are played at Rivermount Park in Hickson, Tennessee.

Lekotek of Georgia 
    A network of play places that use adapted toys and computer equipment to provide opportunities for children to have fun and learn along the way. It provides parents with resources and support including toys on loan for families to use at home

Sibling Celebration - June 26, 2008
   Brothers and sisters of children with disabilities will soon have a unique opportunity to attend a fun event designed just for them. Sib Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 26th, at Coolidge Park beginning at 5:30pm and ending at 8:45pm. It is targeted for children ages 8 through 13. The purpose of Sib Celebration is to provide siblings of children who have disabilities to express themselves in a supportive peer environment, offer opportunities to engage in recreational activity, and foster social relationships with children who are in similar situations. Sponsors are Signal Centers, The City of Chattanooga Department of Parks and Recreation, the Tennessee Early Intervention System, and Siskin Children's Institute.

Therapeutic Recreation 
    The Therapeutic Recreation division of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation serves both youth and adults with physical, cognitive, and/or emotional disabilities. Programs are planned on an ongoing basis. For the most complete and current information call:
